Home DNA Paternity Tests
BIOSYNTHESIS DNA Testing Laboratory's technology, accuracy, and experience make it the DNA testing laboratory you can count on. Our legal DNA tests to establish relationships are accredited by the AABB and FQS-I (ISO 17025); so you can rest assured you're getting the most commercially reliable DNA test results available.
In-Home Paternity Testing
A paternity test uses DNA (the genetic material) to determine if a man is the biological father of a child. An in-home paternity test allows you to collect DNA samples in the privacy of your own home.
Antibody Packages
Antibodies are produced by a kind of white blood cell called a B cell. There are several different types of antibody heavy chain, and several different kinds of antibodies, which are grouped into different isotypes based on which heavy chain they possess.
DNA Replication
DNA replication is the process of copying a double-stranded DNA molecule to form two double-stranded molecules. The process of DNA replication is a fundamental process used by all living organisms as it is the basis for biological inheritance. As each DNA strand holds the same genetic information, both strands can serve as templates for the reproduction of the opposite strand. The template strand is preserved in its entirety and the new strand is assembled from nucleotides.

DNA-Binding Proteins
Bio-Synthesis, founded in 1984, is an international provider of genomic services established around the core business lines oligonucleotide and gene synthesis. Base, ribose and backbone modifications and reporter groups like dyes and haptens are routinely incorporated in DNA/RNA hybrid synthesis. Through innovative production process and synthesis know-how, our services are the best in their class, providing you with innovative and trustworthy solutions to accelerate your research.
DNA Binding Proteins
DNA-binding proteins include transcription factors which modulate the process of transcription, nucleases which cleave DNA molecules, and histones which are involved in DNA packaging in the cell nucleus. DNA-binding proteins can incorporate such DNA-binding domains as the zinc finger, the helix-turn-helix, and the leucine zipper (among many others).
Single Strand Binding Protein
Single-strand binding protein, also known as SSB or SSBP, binds single stranded regions of DNA to prevent premature reannealing. The strands have a natural tendency to revert to the duplex form, but SSB binds to the single strands, keeping them separate and allowing the DNA replication machinery to perform its function.
Protein
A protein is a complex, high molecular weight organic compound that consists of amino acids joined by peptide bonds. Organize articles about proteins according to a standard protein ontology.

Microarrays
An interesting development of this technology has allowed genechips to be made, where the probes are synthesised on the silicon chip, and not printed, allowing a higher resolution. This can be done via a mechanical mask where thin silicon rubber capillaries are put on a glass slide and the probes synthesised. More high-tech versions employ photolayable products and Photolithographic mask or micromirrors.
Synthesis
Oligonucleotides are chemically synthesized using nucleotides, called phosphoramidites, normal nucleotides that have protection groups: preventing amine, hydroxyl groups and phosphate groups interacting incorrectly. One phosphoramidite is added at the time, the product's 5' phosphate is deprotected, and a new base is added, and so on (backwards); at the end, all the protection groups are removed. Nevertheless, several incorrect interactions occur, leading to some defective products.
Antisense oligonucleotides
Antisense oligonucleotides are single strands of DNA or RNA that are complementary to a chosen sequence. In the case of antisense RNA they prevent protein translation of certain messenger RNA strands by binding to them. Antisense DNA can be used to target a specific, complementary (coding or non-coding) RNA. If binding takes places this DNA/RNA hybrid can be degraded by the enzyme RNase H.
