This Genomic DNA Isolation Kit is designed for the rapid preparation of genomic DNA from various tissue samples, cultured cells, bodily fluids, and viruses. Purification is based on spin column chromatography using Biosynthesis patented resin as the separation matrix. This resin binds DNA under high salt concentrations and releases the bound DNA under low salt and slightly alkali conditions. The purified genomic DNA is fully digestible with all restriction enzymes tested, and is completely compatible with PCR and Southern Blot analysis.

Genomic DNA was isolated from various sample types using this Genomic DNA Isolation Kit. Lanes 1-4 contain genomic DNA that was isolated from 4 different samples containing 5 x 10^5 HeLa cells, while lanes 5 and 6 contain genomic DNA that was isolated from 5 mg of heart tissue. All the purified genomic is of the highest quality and integrity.

Genomic DNA was isolated from 10 mg of kidney tissue using this Genomic DNA Isolation Kit, and subsequently digested. Each Lane 1 contains undigested Biosynthesis-isolated DNA, while Lanes 2 contain the genomic DNA digested with Hind III and Lanes 3 contain the genomic DNA digested with Nde I. Lane M is Biosynthesis HighRanger 1kb DNA Ladder.
